How to Study Abroad

J-Term

January Term

J-term or winter study abroad program take place during the winter break in late December and early January. The J-term program is similar to Maymester because it allows you to go abroad for a few weeks and take one course for 3 credits without conflicting with your regular academic calendar. Students can enroll in the J-Term intersession as a precursor to the regular spring semester. All credit for short-term programs must be approved by the students home school Registrar's Office prior to departure.


Maymester

Maymester Term

The Maymester program takes place in May and is an intensive 3 week session that allows you to take one course for 3 credits. This program is designed specifically for students interested in a short-term study abroad experience once their spring semester is over. Students attending the spring semester at the Florence School may enroll in the Maymester program. All credit for short-term programs must be approved by the students home school Registrar's Office prior to departure.

General Admissions Policy

It is the policy of the Florence School of Fine Art that no person shall be subject to discrimination because of age, race, creed, color, sexual orientation, handicap or national origin. Students must be a minimum of 18 years old to attend the Florence School of Fine Art.
