The Post-bac program offers a one-year, full-time program designed for students to achieve a new level of mastery in art making. Post-bac students spend two semesters of intensive work focusing on a specific area of inquiry or experimenting with a variety of media and ideas. This will allow students to develop their artistic vision and technical proficiency and produce a strong body of work for the purpose of graduate admissions or independent work as an artist outside an academic environment. The curriculum combines the tutorial aspects of graduate school with the formal course work of an advanced undergraduate program. Students supplement their studio work with art history, Italian culture classes, and directed independent studies.
